Hi! I'm Ali. I'm a wedding, elopement, and intimate family and maternity photographer who believes there is (way) more to your session than taking pictures. Follow along with past love stories, special family moments (bumps, mamas, and growing littles), and personal adventures here!

This Shelburne Farms engagement session was a photographer’s dream—lovers in golden light and golden fields? Yes, please! Remember when I said that photography has brought people back into my life? Emily is a friend from high school who reached out after proposing to her girlfriend, Brittany. We spent the evening picnicking, taking selfies, and sipping […]

How Did I End up in Ohio? // Nikki + Brad’s Swan Lake Wedding

Um… how did I end up photographing a Swan Lake Wedding in Ohio? I met Nikki and Brad when they came to Vermont to visit family in 2020. After shooting their engagement session in Oakledge Park, they reached out about shooting their wedding as well. The catch? They’re from out of state (like, get on […]

Family Lake Visits // Personal Photography

“Just take pictures” is the best advice I received when I started down this photography road. You can take courses, watch YouTube videos, and scroll Instagram for inspiration, but nothing replaces what you learn with a camera in your hand. When Sam’s family came to visit, we headed to his grandparent’s house on Lake Champlain […]

Vermont Fall Engagement // Emily, Gina and “That Pretty Barn I Drive By”

I was so excited for Emily and Gina’s Vermont fall engagement shoot. They were down to go with the flow, meet after a storm, walk through wet grass, dodge cars on a bridge for the perfect dip pic and show off their wild love in front of the camera. If you’re a photographer, you know […]

Vermont Family Photography Session // “Across The Street” With the Higgins Family

As I dive into more Vermont family photography, I’m quickly learning that documenting families as they grow is one of my very favorite things to do (read about the Higgins’ other sessions here!). Saying, “It is an honor that a family trusts me to capture their memories,” sounds beyond cheesy, and I cringe as I […]

Love stories? Here's mine!

My style behind the lens: Whether I'm looking for bugs with your kiddos, snuggling your newborn while you change outfits, or exploring Vermont nature with you and your love, your session will feel fun, effortless, and like you're hanging with a friend.

My style behind the image: With a nod to classic film and a vibrant punch, my photography style is a little grainy, a little earthy, and always nostalgic.

My style behind the books: When I'm not taking your picture,
I'm probably snuggled up with my dogs, kiddo, and a spicy romantic fantasy novel (IYKYK).

I describe my style as, "a little grain, a little pop of color, a lot of wild love."

As you explore, ask yourself "can I see myself in these images?"
