If you’re looking for one of a kind photos, Ali is your person! One thing I love about Ali is you can meet her for the first time or know her for years, she treats you like her bestie! Ali has a unique and creative way to capture your memories and I promise you won’t be disappointed. She stays true to what she loves, yet hears everything you want incorporated in your session. She’s flexible and understanding (trust me—a newborn and a dog in my photo shoot!!) and guides you through the entire process. I can’t thank her enough for capturing one of the best parts of my life so far, becoming a mom! Excited to have her capture more as my family grows. I highly recommend Allison Macy Photography!

She has done our family photos three separate times now and each time has been wonderful. She's so casual, makes you feel incredibly comfortable in front of the camera, and really focuses on getting the candid real life photos, not just the posed ones (though she makes sure to always get at least a few nicely posed too!). I would recommend her to anyone!

We booked a newborn session with Ali while I was still pregnant and after doing the session we couldn't wait to book with her again! Ali is not only an incredible photographer, she made us feel so comfortable, helped us set up our home for perfect shots, and gave great advice for what to wear, how to pose, etc. She was very communicative and turned around our images so quickly. We traveled to Smuggler's Notch for vacation and I booked a session with Ali as a gift to document this moment in time for my extended family. My family is SO happy with how our photos turned out, how laid back it felt, and how many photos we have to choose from. Her storytelling-style shoot was perfect for the kiddos who don't like standing still, the guys who hate getting their photo taken, and the ladies who are not super comfortable in front of the lens. She was so good with the littles that one of the them insisted on holding her hand as we walked back to the car. I get excited every time I open them back up. Wish we were closer so that we could hang with her every year. ♥️

Working with Allison Macy Photography was a pleasure from start to finish. Ali takes time to ask questions and understand what you are looking for in your photos. The sessions are relaxed and natural which is especially helpful with little ones. Ali was amazing to work with! From the beginning she was responsive, informative, and professional. She took the time to understand what we wanted from our photo session and was so thorough and detail oriented throughout the whole process. Our session was truly relaxed and so much fun, being a couple who doesn’t love the camera she made it easy! Our gallery was returned quickly with beautiful sneak peaks to hold us over in the meantime. Her work is truly beautiful and authentic and I can’t wait to see all that she continues to capture!

Ali was excellent at communicating, easy to book with and even reached out a few days prior to our shoot to ask about a rain date because the weather was looking iffy. The rain held off, luckily, and we spent time walking around, being ourselves, and mostly forgetting Ali was there (except when my kids wanted to make sure she didn't get swept away in the lake as she backed up to take pictures). She was so great with my kids (ages 6/4) and gave us some direction but also let us do our thing. The photoshoot itself was great, but the pictures we got were even better! She nailed it with a variety of images, capturing our personalities and getting in fantastic backgrounds. She sent over a few sneak peeks, and then a well-organized gallery that had me so impressed. 10/10 recommend Ali for any photo needs and plan to book with her again!

She was phenomenal, from the first time I reached out to her and explained our situation about wanting to elope and cancel our destination wedding, to wanting an adventure mini hike in Vermont with just a small gathering of our friends and family. She was ready to take on the challenge! She made us feel so comfortable while capturing all the important moments. She got great shots of us dancing on the streets in the middle of the mountain as well as wonderful photos with our friends and family during the ceremony, it was amazing! We celebrated our marriage at the Formal Gardens on Shelburne farms, and although Ali was familiar with the property she also drove around before we shot to have various locations for recommendations (and drove us to the locations in her own car as well!). My fiance and I recently had our engagement session with Ali, and had nothing but the best experience working with her! From the start she aimed to find a location that met exactly what we were hoping to capture in our photos, even went out and scouted a potential place and sent us photos to see if we liked it or not. It was the first time doing professional photos together, and during the experience she made us feel comfortable and able to be ourselves which led to many ideas we wanted to try out and she was more than happy to play around. We ended up walking around and finding beautiful spots which led to the session to keep going and she never put a hard stop on us and delivered an insane amount of great photos.
